Entebbe Christian School Excels In PLE Exams 2020

Entebbe Christian School registered a better performance in the recent PLE exams.
The school sat 68 candidates last year who had been well prepared and presented for the exams amidst COVID-19. It is the policy of the school to register all candidates despite their abilities at the exam centre.
[wptb id=18904]There was a great improvement in last year’s performance which registered more candidates passing in the first grade by a percentage of 80% as opposed to last year where
The best candidate, Balele Prince Wilson, passed with aggregate 5 (Maths, Science, while the last mark was aggregate 17.

The headteacher, Mrs. Juliet Mwalye, is grateful to God for the performance. She commended the candidates for their hard work, effort and concentration in the hard pandemic times which were characterised by the closure of schools due to nationwide lockdown which could have negatively impacted their studies. She thanked the parents for their participation and cooperation with the school administration in their children’s education. It should be remembered that, among other things, all the candidates were required to be in boarding school. Given that the school enrollment was below half capacity, this attracted a more cost that was borne by the parents to be able to maintain them at school.
She thanked the staff (teachers and support staff) who worked tirelessly and did not abandon their students. It is worth noting that they offered their service while being paid half-pay. The school had not been spared by the pandemic that led to a management decision to suspend all staff contracts.
The School Management Committee and Board of Directors appreciated the administration and staff for this performance. As a result, the Board of Directors has organised a thanksgiving function to appreciate the management, administration and staff for their efforts.
The school’s performance was also appreciated by the Education department of the Entebbe Municipal Council. In a letter signed by the District Education Officer, Mr Fredrick Kyingi Kinobe together with the Chief Administrative Officer, Chairman L.C. V, the Resident District Commissioner Wakiso thanked the school for its good performance. They said the performance made the whole district feel proud. They pledged to continue supporting the school in whatever ways possible.
