Entebbe Christian School is set to host its alumni over the years at the first-ever alumni event. The event is set to take place on 9th September 2023 starting 10:00 am at the School premises in Lunnyo East Entebbe.
The school was started in 1993 by Entebbe Baptist Church with the first PLE class sitting in 1994.
Since then the school has passed out several students and boasts of alumni from as far back as 1993.
According to the Chairman Organizing Committee, Mr. Fred Ssenyonjo, the school desires to connect with its old boys and girls. That’s why currently the school administration is looking up its old boys and girls.
The Board of Directors of the school desires to have a strong alumni association that will support the school in various ways including sharing knowledge and skills, fundraising, resource mobilization, and promotion of the school in various ways. The event will also be a reunion and networking event.
The launch of the Alumni Association is a precursor event leading to the celebration of the School’s 30-year anniversary celebrations later on next year.
This auspicious occasion will be graced by His Honourable Justice Mike Chibita as Chief Guest and will also be attended by staff, members of the School Management Committee, Board of Directors, and well-wishers.
The activities of the day include touring the school facilities, viewing memorabilia, speeches, launch of the alumni association, election and installation of alumni leadership and luncheon.
Posts for the alumni association committee include President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Publicity Secretary/Mobiliser.
